Heart of Cartm is a creative reuse nonprofit in Wheeler, Oregon.

We turn waste into possibility, and possibility into action. From art workshops and repair cafés to systems change and circular economy strategy, we offer tools for people to live more creatively and sustainably.

We’re rooted in legacy, shaped by community, and powered by the belief that trash is just a story waiting to be rewritten.

We prioritize creative expression and repair over landfilling, through our creative reuse store + reimagination studio.

We offer hands-on workshops, mending events, and material-based education that reconnects people to the objects they use and the waste they create.

Rent our creative reuse studio, host a workshop, or join us for community open hours. It’s a space for stitching together new ideas from castoff materials.

Repair Cafe

Our monthly Repair Cafés make it easier to fix what’s broken—and to share what we already have. Every second Saturday.
